We are a service that specialises in the delivery of Cognitive, Educational, Autism and Behaviour assessments.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A referral to our service can be made through your child's school, an education specialist, your family doctor or allied health professional, or directly from you via the website or by giving us a call.

We will discuss the referral question with you and, where appropriate, the referring person, to determine what the concerns are and what tools we will need to help us gather the right data to answer the question. A parental consent form and background history questionnaire must be completed before we make a time to complete any assessment. We will also ask to gather information from the school and any other professionals supporting your child.

WHAT DO WE DO?

There are different assessments depending on the concerns raised. We are able to complete cognitive assessments, behavioural assessments, and educational assessments. We often work in the multi-disciplinary investigation and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are experienced in investigating and diagnosing specific learning disorders, including dyslexia.

Below is a list of assessments that we offer:

Wechsler Pre-School and Primary Scale of Intelligence - Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV)

Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children - Fifth Edition (WISC-V)

Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)

Vineland Scales of Adaptive Behaviour - Third Edition (Vineland-3)

Behaviour Assessment System for Children - Third Edition (BASC-3)

Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - Third Edition (WIAT-III)

Conners Fourth Edition (Conners-4)

Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R)

WHERE?

In our experience, young people are often anxious about meeting someone new in an unfamiliar space. Luckily, we are a friendly bunch and pride ourselves on being flexible. We have great success in completing assessments within the young person's school. Schools are very accommodating in providing us with a quiet space. Parents are usually relieved that there is little disruption to their child's day as well as their own.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

After the assessment(s) are complete, a comprehensive report is prepared. We will then offer  to arrange a feedback meeting to discuss the results and targeted recommendations and strategies. It is our recommendation that this meeting occurs at your child's school with the appropriate school staff. Our findings will guide plans made to support your child.
