AMY ROSS, PSYCHOLOGIST & DIRECTOR

Amy is a founding director of Brainy Assessments and an experienced Psychologist, as well as a board-approved supervisor. Amy has extensive experience in diagnostic assessment and counselling across school and private practice settings. Amy has a particular interest in neuro- affirming assessments. She enjoys working collaboratively with young people to recognise, value, and build on their unique strengths. Alongside her work at Brainy Assessments, Amy works as a School Psychologist, where she provides counselling services to students.

As a board-approved supervisor, Amy values collaborative learning and supports psychologists to develop strong, thoughtful approaches to assessment and counselling, particularly within educational settings.

JAYMIE KOURLINIS, EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGIST & DIRECTOR

Jaymie Kourlinis is an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist and a board-approved supervisor. As a founding director of Brainy Assessments, she brings extensive experience working with young people across public, Catholic, and independent school settings. Jaymie has a particular interest in the assessment of specific learning disorders and in supporting school teams to implement evidence-informed, inclusive practices.

In addition to her clinical work, Jaymie provides professional supervision to provisional psychologists, registered psychologists, and registrars, supporting their development across various stages of practice. She also offers consultancy services to schools, with a focus on building inclusive, evidence-informed systems. Jaymie is deeply committed to fostering reflective practice and strengthening professional capacity
within educational settings.

GEORGIA PHILLIPS, PSYCHOLOGIST

Georgia is a general psychologist with experience supporting children, adolescents and young adults across both therapeutic and assessment settings. She is known for her warm, thoughtful approach and prioritises creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. Alongside therapy, she has a broad range of experience conducting psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments, including cognitive, learning, academic, autism and ADHD assessments with children and adolescents.

Her work spans early learning centres, schools, and private practice, giving her a strong understanding of school systems and the relationship between learning, development, and wellbeing. Georgia works collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals, and takes a flexible, culturally responsive approach that considers individual learning styles, communication needs and sensory preferences. She views therapy as a collaborative process of growth and brings empathy, curiosity and respect to all aspects of her work.

KEZIA MATHESON, EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Kezia obtained her Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University, and is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist.

Kezia has experience in a diverse range of settings, including private practice and schools. Her interest areas include neuro-affirming assessments, and tics and Tourette's. Kezia considers the client's perspective and experience to be of utmost importance during the assessment process.

Alongside Brainy, Kezia works in a government secondary school and in a multi-disciplinary clinic. She finds these roles invaluable in helping her to understand the impact of her client's learning difficulties in the classroom and in real life, and to provide realistic and useful recommendations to families to navigate the school system

CLARE BLAKE, PSYCHOLOGIST

Clare brings a magical mix of curiosity, empathy, and fun when working with young people and their families. Outside of her assessment work with Brainy Assessments, Clare loves to listen to her favourite songs on repeat, build LEGO, make cloud dough, and dig in the garden. She is also a big fan of belly breathing!

SONJA KATSIVELIS, PSYCHOLOGIST

Sonja is a registered psychologist who completed her Master of Professional Psychology at the University of Melbourne and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

She specialises in comprehensive cognitive, learning, and developmental assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. Sonja takes a thorough, multi-informant approach in order to develop a well-rounded understanding of each individual.

She creates a warm and supportive assessment environment, helping children feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. Her approach goes beyond test scores, identifying strengths and challenges that may not be captured through standardised measures alone.

Sonja provides clear, practical, and highly personalised recommendations, recognising that effective support is never one-size-fits-all. She is known for her caring, non-judgmental manner and her commitment to helping families and schools support each child’s learning and development.

JESSICA HAINES, EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Jess is an Educational and Developmental Psychologist who has broad experience working across private practice and school settings. Jess has a particular interest in psychoeducational assessment, and is passionate about supporting individuals and families to develop a clearer understanding of learning profiles, neurotypes, development, and individual strengths. She works in a neuroaffirming, collaborative manner and values assessment processes that are respectful, meaningful, and centred on the child and family.

Jess is known for her warm, friendly approach and for providing clear, targeted assessment reports with practical recommendations that support children across both home and school environments.

KAYLA SARACENO, PRACTICE MANAGER

Kayla is the practice manager of Brainy Psychology and works closely with the directors to help with administrative and intake duties. She graduated from a Bachelor of Science in 2025 from the University of Melbourne, majoring in psychology. Alongside her role as practice manager, Kayla will commence her honours year in 2026, studying at Federation University. Kayla is interested in multiple fields of psychology, including neuropsychology and developmental psychology, particularly the intersection of these two fields, aiming to undertake a master's degree.
